Yesterday's Grand Opening Party was a huge success. We had over 80 people come to either participate or just hang out to watch all the days events.

Starting at 9:00 am we had 25 people show up for Boot Camp then we had a couple of people try the 5K run, at 1:00pm we had Darian & Ryan demonstrate the 5-Bars of Death workout and the Big Finisher for the day was the Strongman Demonstrations.
Thank you to everyone that came out to support us and to those that helped organize this event. I'd also like to say a special thank you to Chili's of Ft. Myers and Smoothie King on College Pkwy. for catering in the food and drinks for us.
We also want to remind everyone that next Sat. 4-4-09 is our Fitness Challenge. If you'd liked to participate please see Jeremy by Tues. 3-31-09 with your $10.00 entry fee to sign up.

Hey CrossFitters,
Ready to get paid to train? Starting this April through the end of May we will offer Level 1 Skills Testing. Every Thursday in April and May you can set an appointment with Jeremy or Danny to perform your Level 1 Skills Test. Testing costs $20.00/test and you can perform up to 4 exercises per test.
$10.00 from each test will go into a pot and be allocated as prize money for the first person to complete all 21 exercises for the Level 1 Skills Test. All 21 exercises must be completed by May 28th, 2009. June 1st, 2009 we will award the winner of the Level 1 Skills Test. If no one has completed all 21 exercises by May 28th, 2009 the cash prize pot will carry over to our next Level 1 Skills Test starting June 4th, 2009 through July 30th, 2009.
Once a winner has been awarded for Level 1 Skills Testing we will begin testing for Level 2.

BIG D Deadlifts 453 lbs. at age 15
BIG D pulls a P.R. of 453 lbs. at age 15. This is 6 weeks out from the 2009 Europa Fitness Expo where he'll be competing in the USAPL Powerlifting Meet on April 18th. His goal is to pull 470 lbs. in this meet and 515 by Dec. 2008.

Congratulations to Josh, Lindsay and Daniel for completing the Hooters 13.1 mile race on Sunday. Of course they had to celebrate Hooters style with chicken wings and beer. Hell, after 13.1 miles of running I think they deserve it.
